Commission Plan Update: Transition to QV
June 01, 2026
As part of our upcoming platform transition to Shopify, we’ll be updating how sales volume is measured within the commission plan.
With our current Shopify transition timeline, Seint plans to move from Sales Volume (SV) to Qualifying Volume (QV) beginning no earlier than July 1st, 2026.
While timing may adjust slightly as we finalize platform readiness, we wanted to provide advance notice as details continue to come together.
What is QV?
QV (Qualifying Volume) is a standardized value assigned to each product based on its U.S. retail price.
This means:
/ The same product will have the same QV value globally
/ QV will not fluctuate based on exchange rates
/ Progress toward qualifications and bonuses will be measured more consistently across all markets
For example:
/ A product that retails for $50 USD = 50 QV
/ A Canadian customer may pay a different amount in CAD, but the QV remains 50
What’s Changing
/ Sales Volume (SV) will transition to Qualifying Volume (QV)
/ Qualification tracking and thresholds will transition to a standardized global QV structure
/ Product QV, rather than local currency, will determine qualification progress
/ Canadian commission payouts will use the exchange rate at the time of payout rather than a fixed exchange rate structure
/ The same product will carry the same QV globally, regardless of market
What’s Staying the Same
/ Commission percentages remain unchanged
/ Bonus structure remains unchanged
/ The bonus pool remains in place
/ Commissions will continue to be paid in your local currency
/ Your 25% product discount remains unchanged
Looking Ahead
Our goal with this change is to create a simpler and more consistent system that better supports Artists across all markets.
Thank you for your continued support as we move through this transition! As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to ASK with any questions.

FAQS
Will my commission percentages change?
No. Commission percentages and bonus structures are not changing with this update.
Will commissions still be paid in my local currency?
Yes. Commissions will continue to be paid in your local currency.
What is QV?
QV (Qualifying Volume) is a standardized value assigned to each product based on its U.S. retail price.
For example:
A product with a U.S. retail price of $50 USD = 50 QV globally.
How does QV work internationally?
QV remains consistent globally, regardless of local market pricing or exchange rates.
This means the same product will generate the same QV value across all markets, creating a more consistent qualification and commission structure internationally.
How do cross-border customer orders work with QV?
QV standardizes the value of a product globally, regardless of which market the customer orders from.
For example:
A product with a U.S. retail value of $50 USD = 50 QV globally.
If a U.S. Artist has a customer in Canada or the United Kingdom purchase that product, the order would still generate 50 QV, and commissions would be calculated from that standardized value.
This creates a more consistent commission structure across all markets, even when local retail pricing and currencies differ internationally.
How will Canadian commissions work with QV?
Canadian commissions will continue to be paid in CAD. Under the new QV system, commissions will be calculated using standardized QV values, and then converted into CAD using the applicable exchange rate at the time of payout.
Will discounts affect QV?
Yes. Discounts will reduce QV proportionally based on the discounted purchase amount, similar to how discounts currently reduce Sales Volume (SV).
Are qualification requirements changing?
Qualification thresholds will transition to a standardized QV structure across all markets.
With the move to QV, qualification requirements will align with the current U.S. qualification structure, and will use the same QV targets globally moving forward.
How does the transition to QV affect the 2027 Onyx Reward Trip qualification?
The 2027 Onyx Reward Trip qualification period runs from May 1st, 2026 through October 31st, 2026. As part of the transition to QV, trip tracking will also move to a standardized QV-based system.
Beginning with the QV transition, all markets will work toward the same qualification goal: 30,000 QV
For U.S. Artists:
Current SV already aligns with the new QV structure, so no adjustment is needed for May and June tracking.
For Canadian Artists:
Because current Canadian SV is based on CAD pricing, May and June SV totals will be adjusted using a conversion factor before being combined with future QV totals.
This allows qualification tracking to remain fair and consistent across markets during the transition period.
Additional trip tracking details will be shared as the transition progresses.
